Friday, October 23rd, 2009: Los Angeles (N)'s Santana Asked for Trade. Fact or Fiction?
It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Los Angeles (N)'s Julio Santana has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the closer may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.
Thursday, October 1st, 2009: NL's Best Batter Selected
Seasoned by several years of professional experience, Carlos Beltran put together a solid offensive month for Los Angeles (N) and was crowned September's top batter in the National League.

He batted .400 with 3 home runs, 15 RBIs and 30 runs scored.

So far this season Beltran is hitting .309 with 17 home runs, 71 RBIs and 103 runs scored. He has 171 hits in 553 at-bats and a .412 OBP.
Friday, September 25th, 2009: Grayson Bashes 5 Base Hits
Luke Grayson told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."

Well, that's just what Grayson of the Los Angeles (N) Dodgers did against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Diamondbacks, who suffered a 10-8 defeat.

"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."

L. Grayson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th and hit a two-run home run off W. Startup in the 14th.

Grayson is hitting .258 in 2009 with 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 47 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 349 at-bats and played in 139 games.
