He batted .400 with 3 home runs, 15 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
So far this season Beltran is hitting .309 with 17 home runs, 71 RBIs and 103 runs scored. He has 171 hits in 553 at-bats and a .412 OBP. |  | Friday, September 25th, 2009: Grayson Bashes 5 Base Hits Luke Grayson told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what Grayson of the Los Angeles (N) Dodgers did against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Diamondbacks, who suffered a 10-8 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
L. Grayson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, singled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th and hit a two-run home run off W. Startup in the 14th.
Grayson is hitting .258 in 2009 with 11 home runs, 49 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
