Thursday, October 1st, 2009: September's Best Rookie Named by NL
Alexi Casilla was voted the top rookie in the National League for his solid performance last month.

In September, the Colorado second baseman posted a .363 average while racking up 33 hits, 1 home run and 9 RBIs.

Casilla is batting .345 this season in 32 games with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 116 at-bats.
Sunday, September 27th, 2009: Rockies Lose Troy Glaus
Troy Glaus at first refused to leave today's Atlanta-Colorado game after he suffered a hyperextended knee while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty Colorado third baseman said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Glaus out of action for 2 weeks.

In 2009 Glaus has put up a .212 batting average with 91 hits, 19 home runs and 59 RBIs.
Monday, September 7th, 2009: Tigers Pitching Can't Stop Hot Bat of Tampa's Kutler
Matthew Kutler of the Tampa Yankees was unstoppable in today's game against the Lakeland Tigers. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.

M. Kutler hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Kutler has hit at a .259 clip so far this season with 49 RBI, 7 home runs, and 40 runs scored.
