As the teams that remain start their preparations for the Round 1, players on teams that have been eliminated are already packing for home. It's a curious reward for teams that didn't make the grade: extra time at home, a few more weeks to relax for the younger players. And for the older ones, more time to recover from all of the aches and pains that build up over a tough season.
