 | Tuesday, September 8th, 2009: Hits Galore! Wroot Drills 5 Hits! At Iron Birds Ballpark Dave Wroot was the King of Swing today in the 11-7 win over the Jammers. The Aberdeen first baseman stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Jamestown and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. Unbelieveable. It felt good. It felt great. What a day! 5 for 6! It does wonders for your batting average, too." D. Wroot flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. Wroot is batting .277 with 12 home runs and 73 RBIs this season. |
