 | Monday, September 21st, 2009: Wisconsin Takes MID Title The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers ignited a huge celebration as they beat the West Michigan Whitecaps 7-5 to win the Round 2. Wisconsin won the series 4-0, capturing the title for the 2nd time. "We stepped it up at the right time...now we're the champs...it's a great feeling," the victorious manager exclaimed to the press. The champs finished the regular season 97-43 and claimed first place in the Western Division. In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, the Timber Rattlers owner proudly stated, "I am so happy for our city. Our great fans deserve this. I just hope they don't tear up the town celebrating too much." |
