 | Monday, September 10th, 2007: Miracle Beat Manatees in Round 1 It was a hard fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, to the victors go the spoils: Fort Myers got the Florida State League Round 1 trophy today with a 5-2 victory over Brevard County at Miracle Ballpark. The Miracle won their 1st championship after taking the series with the Manatees 3-2. "They've got grit!" one fan told SION, "They know how to win when they have to. They're the League Champions!" The new titleholders completed the regular season with a second place finish in the West Division and a 74-66 won-loss record. |
