Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007: Irving Falu Captures FLO Outstanding Hitter Award
Irving Falu certainly made his presence felt in the Florida State League this year. The gifted shortstop for Jupiter ripped opposing pitchers for a .338 batting average and ran away with the voting for the Outstanding Hitter Award.

He collected 168 hits, 29 doubles, 6 triples, 6 home runs, 80 RBIs and scored 106 times.

Falu will get his trophy at the SBWA awards banquet this weekend.
Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007: Best FLO Pitcher Announced
The Florida State League heralded Kyle Kendrick of the Huntsville Stars as the number 1 man on the mound for the 2007 campaign.

This year's Outstanding Pitcher Award winner stood out by running up an impressive 21-5 record, holding opposing hitters to a .187 batting average and posting a 1.66 ERA. The 23-year-old hurler tossed 227.1 innings, gave up 155 hits, fanned 270 and issued 62 walks.

Kendrick will be honored this weekend at the SION Baseball Writers Association annual awards banquet.
Monday, October 1st, 2007: Season's Best Fielders Selected by FLO
It's been said that the best offense is a good defense. That's why contending teams are always looking to improve on the defensive side of the game. Keeping runs from scoring is just as good as driving them in and tonight, at the annual SION sports banquet, the guys who wow us with the leather will be honored. The top defenders have been chosen in the Florida State League for the 2007 Glove Wizard Award selections. Here are the winners:
