 | Friday, September 18th, 2009: Mudcats Hurler Goyen Tames Mobile "That was one of my best outings," said Matthew Goyen. "I was worried a lot in the bullpen. My ball wasn't quite right. Luckily, it can be two different worlds -- the bullpen and the game. Once I stepped on the field, it all fell into place." It was an impressive start for the Mudcats hurler. He blanked the Bay Bears 6-0 on a strong 4-hitter while ringing up 3 strikeouts and doling out 2 walks. This year Goyen has a 9-10 record with a 4.48 ERA in 33 starts. |
