The San Diego left fielder rang up some lofty numbers in the last 30 days and snagged the National League Rookie of the Month Award.
In August he hit .352 with 3 home runs and 31 hits. He walked 8 times and compiled a .402 on-base percentage, scored 13 times and drove in 16.
In 95 games McEvoy is hitting .335 this season for the Padres with 107 hits, 15 home runs, 68 RBIs, 28 walks, .387 OBP and has scored 53 runs . | |
