 | Monday, August 17th, 2009: Oakland Blanked by Romero Ricky Romero of the Seattle Mariners was right on target when he blanked the Oakland Athletics 9-0, yielded 3 hits and totaled 1 walk and 9 strikeouts. Speaking to SION reporters after the game, Romero said, "I had everything working today and I got some help from my defense, too. They saved my butt a few times." This year Romero has posted a 19-4 mark in 26 starts and has a 3.04 ERA. |
