All week long the Colorado first baseman was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .400 BA, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. Here are his award-winning numbers: 25 AB, 7 R, 10 H, 1 2B, 2 3B, 3 HR, 9 RBI, 1 BB, 6 K, .423 OBP. Howard is batting .296 in 2009 with 14 home runs, 44 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
