Sunday, October 4th, 2009: Goleski Tops Best Hitter List
What a year for Ryan Goleski! He finished the year hitting .319 and took home the 2009 Pacific Coast League Outstanding Hitter Award.

His season totals included a .400 on-base percentage, 168 hits, 32 doubles, 8 triples, 18 home runs, 101 RBIs and 100 runs scored.

The annual SBWA awards banquet is this weekend. All of the major award winners will be there to be honored for their outstanding achievements this past season.
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009: Pacific Coast League Top Hurler Announced
The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2009 has been announced and the Pacific Coast League winner is Errol Simonitsch of Tacoma. For his superb season, he has been named the league's top-rated pitcher.

This year Simonitsch stood out with a 19-8 won-lost record in 28 starts. In 215 innings he yielded 209 hits and 40 walks, while striking out 126 and compiling an impressive 3.60 ERA.

The SBWA will honor all of the award winners this weekend at its annual meeting.
Friday, October 2nd, 2009: PCL Glove Wizard Award Winners Named
Smooth as silk and graceful as gazelles. They glide and slide and always seem to come up with the ball. That's how you could describe the best fielders in the Pacific Coast League. The 2009 Glove Wizard Award winners will be honored tonight at the SION awards banquet:
